The upcoming 2018 Ford Mustang GT can accelerate up to 60 MPH in just under four seconds, making it the fastest Mustang ever. That's right, 0-to-60 in under four seconds! The 2018 Mustang GT reached this incredible milestone thanks to the 5.0-liter V8 engine under the hood. It powers up to 460 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. When compared to the 435 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque in the 2017 Ford Mustang, you can see that power gets a boost in the new model year.

The 2018 Mustang GT also features the new Drag Strip drive mode. Normally, a vehicle loses torque when it shift gears, and this loss of power translates to a loss of speed. But with the new Drag Strip drive mode, it gives the Mustang a huge boost of acceleration, eliminating the lost time during gear shifts.
